Small, cosy and intimate, Whirled Cinema is a world away from your everyday multiplex experience.

A little off the beaten track, we’re hidden away in railway arches in Loughborough Junction (just a stone’s throw from Brixton and Herne Hill) and home to Whirled Studios, making us one of South London’s best-kept secrets.

We are cost-of-living friendly with an affordable membership (less than £1 a screening if you attend all screenings visiting with a guest), free of advertising and trailers. This is the place to indulge in your love of good film, kick back with a few drinks and make new friends in a chilled and welcoming environment.

Since we opened our doors in 2010 as an independent members cinema, we have set out to screen a diverse programme of the best of current world and art house cinema.

Before and after you get your cultural hit, you can relax and talk film with fellow members (and no doubt the passionate film buffs who work here) in the outdoor balcony area and lounge, taking advantage of the bar serving beer, wine and cocktails and snacks.
